Abby Matthaeus, DVM
Founder, Veterinarian
Dr. Abby Matthaeus grew up in Western Washington, where she attended the University of Washington in Seattle, earning a BA in Biology and Psychology. Dr. Matthaeus attended Washington State University where she earned her doctorate of veterinary medicine.
After graduating from WSU, Dr. Matthaeus moved to Boise, working as an intern veterinarian at Idaho Equine Hospital. Post-internship, Idaho Falls became her home, practicing at Willowcreek Animal Hospital for four years specializing in equine medicine and surgery.
Dr. Matthaeus then founded Teton Equine as she has a passion for lameness and sports medicine but enjoys all aspects of equine veterinary medicine.
In her time off, Dr. Matthaeus enjoys spending time with her dogs, four horses and two mules. She particularly enjoys riding up into the mountains, hunting, fly-fishing, and spending time outdoors.
