Her early experiences in the saddle developed into a lifelong dedication to equine health and performance. She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Kansas State University, where she also completed a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture and Animal Science along with an Equine Science Certificate. In addition to her veterinary training, Dr. Kellish is also a CERTIFIED EQUINE CHIROPRACTOR! allowing her to provide a comprehensive and integrative approach to equine sports medicine and lameness, specializing in the performance horse. After graduating in 2021, Dr. Kellish completed a sports medicine internship with Steele & Associates, where she gained extensive experience working with high-level performance horses along the East Coast and during the winter circuit in Wellington, Florida. Dr. Kellish’s professional interests include equine sports medicine, regenerative therapies, and chiropractic care, and she is passionate about helping horses to perform and feel their best! Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Kellish enjoys crafting, traveling, and staying active with CrossFit. She is our wonderful and hard-working receptionist! Emmylou has always loved horses, even since before she could remember! Growing up, Emmylou was always on the back of a horse, she humorously exclaims that she even learned to ride before she could figure out how to walk. As a child she grew up busy showing horses/steers, participating in 4-H and FFA programs, and then transitioning to high school rodeo in her teenage years. Prior to working with us here at Teton Equine Veterinary Practice, Emmylou spent eight years employed as a Veterinary Technician caring for equine patients and working alongside other veterinarians in the region. Emmylou and her husband are currently 4th generation ranchers in Eastern Idaho and are loving parents to three little girls and a little boy. The youngest of which being a set of twins. The Capson family continues to keep the passion for the “ranch way” of life alive as she takes pleasure in providing her kids with an education in caring for the horses they ride and the cattle they raise on their ranch. But there wasn’t much convincing necessary, as her kids have taken to the ranch life like fish to water. Diving head first, her kids participate in rodeos, barrel racing events and jackpots alike. Needless to say Emmylou is used to having her hands full! When Emmylou is not working, she can be found spending time with her family, hunting in the mountains, enjoying the wilderness, or helping her husband with the cows on their ranch. We feel lucky to have found such an amazing young woman who always answers the phone cheerfully and prides herself on helping people and their horses on a daily basis. Since her family owns an equestrian center nestled in beautiful Alpine, Wyoming. Consequently, as a little girl, any free time she had was spent out with the horses. In fact, Bridget was riding horses before she could even walk! As a child she actively participated in 4-H, showing both horses and dogs. Bridget was a hard worker even at young age, helping her family manage and run their equestrian center as well as care for her own 4-legged creatures. Throughout junior high and high school Bridget has been competitively involved in barrel racing and breakaway roping, successfully training her own quarter horses to compete at a high level. Bridget not only lives and competes in Western Wyoming and Eastern Idaho, but she also travels to Wickenburg, Arizona in the winter where she continues to work at Teton Equine Vet with Dr. Abby Matthaeus, and competes on her horses year round. And you guessed it.........College Rodeo is in the plans for Bridget as she continues to expand her knowledge of the profession by earning a degree in Agricultural Business and Minor in Equine Studies. Bridget’s long term goal is to pursue a career in Equine Reproduction. Although Bridget lives and breathes horses, when she isn’t at rodeos, studying, or working, she enjoys trail riding, wake surfing on the lake, hiking, and spending time outdoors with her horses and
